What Is CYSTARAN?

CYSTARAN (pronounced 'sis-tǝ-ran) is the ONLY FDA-approved ophthalmic treatment of corneal cystine crystal accumulation in people with cystinosis (pronounced sis-tǝ-'nō-sis). Treatment with CYSTARAN should be started as soon as cystinosis has been diagnosed by your doctor and cystine crystals have been found within the corneas.1,2

Indication:

CYSTARAN is a cystine-depleting agent indicated for the treatment of corneal cystine crystal accumulation in patients with cystinosis.

Important Safety Information:

The most frequently reported ocular adverse reactions occurring in ≥10% of patients were sensitivity to light, redness, eye pain/irritation, headache, and visual field defects.
